From September 15th to 16th, the 2023 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Joint Exhibition and Forum was held in Nanning. As an important part of this year's joint exhibition and forum, the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Technical Skills Exhibition was hosted by Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction. Focusing on digital transformation and the integrated development of industry, education, and research, the exhibition served as a platform for exchanges and cooperation in vocational education between China and ASEAN. Over 80 domestic and foreign schools and research institutions participated in the exhibition, which was divided into special exhibition and standard exhibition areas. As a "Double High" institution in Guangxi, our school exhibited in the special exhibition area.
At the skills exhibition, we displayed a sandbox of a smart irrigation system for modern agriculture, a sandbox of an integrated green energy town with wind, solar, and water storage, a teaching model and virtual simulation system for the installation and debugging of giant hydraulic turbines, as well as plastic recycling works created by student clubs. These exhibits fully demonstrated our school's educational characteristics of being rooted in Guangxi, facing ASEAN, and leveraging its advantages in hydropower. They attracted numerous domestic and foreign leaders, guests, teachers, students, and enterprise personnel to stop and take a look.
During the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Myanmar's Ministry of Science and Technology Aung Zeya, Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region Party Committee Education Working Committee, Secretary and Director of the Autonomous Region Education Department Liu Youyi, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region Party Committee Education Working Committee and Member of the Education Department's Party Leadership Group Li Xiaoyong, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association of Hydraulic Engineering Education Wang Shaohua, as well as leaders from vocational colleges in China and ASEAN visited our school's exhibition stand. They listened to the introductions of the exhibits and technical skills teaching by our staff and expressed their appreciation for our school's vocational education achievements.
Through this exhibition, our school actively engaged in learning and exchanges with various units, further deepening its connections with enterprises and vocational colleges at home and abroad. We jointly explored new models for talent cultivation in vocational education, enhancing our confidence and ability to jointly promote the development of vocational education in China and ASEAN countries and facilitate the cultivation and development of vocational skills talents.
