On April 27th, the online unveiling ceremony for the Gui Shui Workshop was successfully held between our school and Cebu Technological University (CTU) in the Philippines. Deputy President Liu Cunxiang and CTU Vice President Robert Jay Anco attended the ceremony, along with leaders from both sides' international exchange centers, academic affairs offices, and relevant secondary colleges.
In his speech, Deputy President Liu Cunxiang expressed his hope that through the jointly established Gui Shui Workshop, both sides can deepen cooperation and exchanges in skills exchange, joint student training, faculty visits, academic exchanges, and other areas. He emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual understanding, communication, and learning, nurturing traditional friendships, and jointly promoting humanistic exchanges among young scholars from both sides.
Vice President Robert Jay Anco pointed out that he was honored to establish a good cooperative relationship with our school and hoped to take this cooperation as an opportunity to strengthen inter-school exchanges and carry out diverse and content-rich educational and teaching activities, promoting mutual exchanges and learning between teachers and students of the two schools.
During the cooperation discussion session, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on professional and technical training in water conservancy and electric power, academic exchanges, and other topics. Subsequently, witnessed by the participants, Deputy President Liu Cunxiang and Vice President Robert Jay Anco signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and jointly unveiled the "Gui Shui Workshop."
We will give full play to its educational characteristics, expand cooperation and exchanges with overseas institutions, focus on building the international brand of "Gui Shui Workshop," and carry out projects such as international talent training, overseas vocational skills training, and professional and technical services. We aim to implement various cooperation contents, strengthen international education and talent training, and enhance its international influence.
It is reported that Cebu Technological University, founded in 1911, is a state polytechnic university with a multidisciplinary distribution offering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral education. It ranks highly in the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). The university is dedicated to high-end research and technical education, conducting research and technology promotion services in fields such as industry, trade, agriculture and forestry, and information technology. It has extensive international exchanges and cooperation with schools in New Zealand, the United States, Australia, Ghana, Japan, and South Korea in various fields.
