The Inaugural Ceremony of the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Alliance and the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Development Seminar was held in Harbin on August 3rd, with Li Dongying from the Foreign Exchange Center participating in the event. Over 200 representatives from more than 130 member units of the alliance from both China and Russia attended the ceremony in person, while more than 5,000 participants joined online.
The ceremony reviewed and approved the "Constitution of the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Alliance," elected member units and officials including the chairman, executive chairman, vice chairmen, and secretary-general of the alliance council, and established an expert committee of the alliance. Our school was elected as an executive member unit of the alliance, with Deputy President Liu Cunxiang elected as the deputy director of the expert committee and Director Li Changni of the Foreign Exchange Center elected as an executive director.
The ceremony also featured the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Development Seminar, which invited Chinese and Russian experts to deliver keynote speeches, special reports, and engage in high-level dialogues on various topics related to the development of vocational education in China and Russia. Multiple experts from both countries spoke and shared their research findings.
According to information, the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Alliance was jointly initiated by Harbin Vocational and Technical College, the Russian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Khabarovsk Krai Institute for Educational Development. Currently, the alliance has 153 member units, including five Russian institutions, two undergraduate universities, 83 vocational colleges, 48 secondary vocational schools, and 15 Russian-oriented enterprises and educational research institutions from 22 provinces and cities in China. Additionally, 40 overseas institutions and cross-border enterprises have expressed interest in participating in Sino-Russian vocational education cooperation projects. The alliance aims to facilitate cooperation among Chinese vocational colleges, Russian universities (educational institutions), and cross-border enterprises, organizing member units to engage in Sino-Russian education cooperation in areas such as the internationalization of vocational education, talent cultivation, teacher development, teaching reform, scientific research, resource sharing, innovation and entrepreneurship, academic exchanges, and cooperative education. By integrating the high-quality resources of member units, the alliance will establish a platform for sharing educational information and academic resources, promote cross-mobility and innovative development among alliance units, strengthen theoretical innovation and practical exploration in internationalized educational models, operational mechanisms, talent cultivation models, and the construction of educational and teaching resources, and advance wide-ranging and multidimensional cooperation and exchanges in vocational education between China and Russia.
Joining the Sino-Russian Vocational Education Alliance will bring more opportunities for our school to establish a platform for Sino-Russian technical services and teaching resource development, conduct short- and long-term "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills" training, build an international teaching staff, jointly organize international competitions and events, and implement teaching and research cooperation, positively promoting the internationalization.
