On October 12, a delegation of three, including Professor Piyapatr Busababodhin from the Mathematics Department of Mahasarakham University in Thailand, visited our college for exchange and discussion. Pan Nianping, the Chief Accountant of the college, attended the event. The event was hosted by Li Xiaolian, Deputy Director of the Water Conservancy Engineering College.
Pan Nianping expressed sincere welcome to the delegation from Mahasarakham University and exchanged culturally distinctive gifts. Following that, the college awarded Professor Piyapatr Busababodhin with a certificate of guest professor and invited her to deliver a lecture on the "Hongyan Project" teacher training workshop in the field of water conservancy.
During the lecture, Professor Piyapatr Busababodhin provided a detailed introduction of Mahasarakham University's development history, geographical location, curriculum offerings, teaching achievements, and domestic and international cooperation and exchanges. She also presented, through numerous examples, the research and application of his research team on the use of statistical limit theory in water conservancy, climate, and water resource utilization. During the discussion session, teachers actively raised questions and sought advice from Professor Piyapatr Busababodhin on statistical modeling methods, the application of artificial intelligence in mathematical statistics, and other relevant knowledge. They also engaged in lively exchanges on professional topics such as model prediction trends and the construction of an information platform for soil-water-climate big data models.
The event also featured a symposium on the construction of international innovation teams, where both sides exchanged views on the development of international innovation team projects.
This exchange strengthened the friendship between the two sides, broadened work perspectives, and facilitated further cooperation between the college and Mahasarakham University. In the future, the college will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with ASEAN countries to promote the high-quality internationalization of vocational education.
