From September 19th to 21st, the 2024 "Tong Chuang Cup" Skills Competition for Chinese-funded Power Enterprises in Cambodia was held at the Lower Sesan Hydropower Station, hosted by Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) and the Power Enterprise Association of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, and organized by Huadian Sesan 2 Lower Hydropower Project (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sesan Company), with Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power and the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy serving as co-organizers.

With the theme of "Walking Together on the Main Road, Harmonious Coexistence, Striving for Innovation, and Rushing Ahead Courageously," the competition attracted 16 contestants from six Chinese-funded power enterprises in Cambodia, including China Huadian, China Huaneng, and China Datang. The competition covered two categories: Chinese relay protection workers and Cambodian electricians, and was divided into three sessions: theoretical exams, practical skill assessments, and related knowledge quizzes. Experts and professors from the college and the China-Cambodia Modern Craftsman Academy for Green Energy served as judges and guests.

The competition received strong support from Electricité du Cambodge. Mr. KHUTH SAM ATH, Deputy Director of the Generation Department of Electricité du Cambodge, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He stated that Cambodia and China have enjoyed good cooperation in the field of electric power and energy, and Chinese power enterprises have made outstanding contributions to Cambodia's economic and social development. This competition greatly promoted technical exchanges among Chinese-funded power enterprises in Cambodia and set an example for cultivating local power skills talents, serving the "Diamond Hexagon" cooperation framework between China and Cambodia, and boosting the high-quality development of Cambodia's power industry.

After two days of fierce competition, two individual first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes, and two excellent team awards were finally awarded.
