From January 9th to 10th, the 2023 Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony hosted by the Foreign Student Education Management Professional Committee of the Guangxi Higher Education Learned Society was successfully held at Wuzhou College. This regional conference focused on international student recruitment, management, and Chinese language education, attracting the participation of relevant leaders and teachers from the international cooperation and exchange offices and international education colleges of 35 universities across Guangxi.
During the meeting, the "Decision on Commending Excellent Units, Fastest-Growing Units, Outstanding Individuals, and Excellent Counselors in International Education for Chinese Students in 2023" was read out, and honors were bestowed upon outstanding units, fastest-growing units, outstanding individuals, and excellent counselors in Guangxi. Notably, teachers Li Dongying and Wang Lipeng were honored with the titles of "Outstanding Individual" and "Excellent Counselor" in international education for Chinese students in 2023, respectively.
This year marks the inaugural year of international student recruitment at our college. We have actively explored and practiced in the cultivation and management of international students, achieving preliminary results. Moving forward, we will continue to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on education. It aims to strengthen the cultivation of international students, further enhance the professional competence and management service capabilities of its international student administrators, and actively promote the quality and efficiency of its international education work. We strives to achieve new breakthroughs and developments in international student education.
