In active pursuit of the "Belt and Road" initiative and aiming to establish an open, cooperative, and innovative hub for vocational education facing ASEAN, as well as to expand educational exchanges and cooperation between the school and institutions in Vietnam and Thailand, Deputy President Liu Cunxiang led a delegation on an inspection visit to Vietnam and Thailand from November 27 to December 4.

During the visit to Vietnam, the delegation toured and exchanged ideas with the Electric Power University, the Vietnam-America College Hanoi, and the Central College of Technology, Economics and Water Resources. At the Central College of Technology, Economics and Water Resources, the delegation was warmly received by the Party Secretary and President Le Ngoc Nguyen, along with the leadership team, heads of functional departments, and various department leaders, who accompanied the delegation on a tour of the campus and training facilities. Both parties reviewed their cooperative history since the 1980s and engaged in in-depth discussions on faculty training in water resources and electric power, as well as cultural exchanges. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the two institutions, reaching cooperative intentions on matters such as international student recruitment, scientific research collaboration, and credit exchange.

In Thailand, the delegation visited Khon Kaen University, North Chiang Mai University, and the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). Pattrawut Charoenroop, Assistant to the President of Khon Kaen University, spoke highly of the cooperative achievements, and both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding, expressing hopes to further deepen cooperation in areas such as faculty academic advancement, professional development, and cultural exchanges.

Looking ahead, our college will continue to deepen cooperative exchanges with ASEAN countries, jointly promote the deep integration and development of vocational education and industry, actively explore new models and pathways for international cooperation projects, and contribute to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents with international competitiveness.
