On August 22, the annual conference of the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Consortium was held in Guiyang. Our college and Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture in Cambodia, were invited to participate in the conference and received plaques from the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). President Li Lin attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.
Due to their outstanding achievements in the construction of the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy, a joint initiative between our college and Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture, Cambodia, and China Huadian Eresdownstream Hydropower Project (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., the three parties were selected as the "China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellent Cooperation Partners" for the year 2024. At the conference, Secretary-General Yang Jun of CEAIE presented plaques to the two colleges. During the event, President Li Lin was invited to deliver a keynote speech titled "Focusing on ASEAN, Vocational Education Going Global, and Establishing the 'Guangxi Water Power Model' for International Production Capacity Cooperation Services". He summarized the construction experience and achievements of the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy, which garnered widespread attention and recognition from Chinese and foreign delegates present.
Moving forward, our school will prioritize serving the major strategic needs of the "Belt and Road" Initiative and regional economic and social development. By seizing the significant opportunities presented by the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 and the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), our school will rely on the "China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellent Cooperation Partners" project to carry out talent cultivation and "Chinese Language + Hydropower Vocational Skills" training. This will support the overseas development of Chinese enterprises and the globalization of Chinese vocational education in hydropower, fully leveraging vocational education to serve international production capacity cooperation and diplomatic priorities, and promoting the stable and sustainable globalization of vocational education.
It is reported that the "China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellent Cooperation Partners" are selected by CEAIE nationwide and represent the highest award for international cooperation with ASEAN in China. It is planned to be awarded for five consecutive years from 2023 to 2028, with 10 partner groups selected each year. Being selected as a "China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellent Cooperation Partner" is a recognition of our school's efforts in accompanying enterprises to "go global" and engaging in international exchange and cooperation.
