From August 23rd to 24th, a delegation of three people, led by President Chhun Torry of the Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture, Cambodia(NIA), visited our college for exchange and communication. President Li Lin and Deputy President Liu Cunxiang accompanied the delegation during their visit.
On August 23rd, President Li Lin and his team welcomed the delegation at the Lijian campus and expressed gratitude for the consistent support of NIA for our college's international exchange efforts. President Li Lin emphasized that the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy served as an important platform for cooperation between our college and Cambodian counterparts. We attach great importance to the construction of the institute, leveraging school resources to deeply promote talent cultivation, scientific research and development, technology promotion, and training in the green energy industry. He looked forward to continuing to expand the achievements of the Modern Craftsmanship Institute on the basis of existing cooperation, and to carry out pragmatic cooperation in technical cooperation, student training, cultural exchanges, and other areas, further promoting interconnectivity in vocational education in hydropower between China and Cambodia.
Chhun Torry highly affirmed the important role played by the Modern Craftsmanship Institute project in enhancing cooperation between the two schools and expressed gratitude for the long-term support. He stated that the Modern Craftsmanship Institute project provided learning and exchange opportunities for students from both China and Cambodia, particularly providing much-needed technology and talent for Cambodia. He was more than willing to continue promoting the project to jointly advance vocational education in both countries.
Subsequently, President Li Lin led the delegation to visit the training buildings and fields of the School of Hydraulic Engineering, School of Electric Power Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, and School of Automation Engineering, gaining a detailed understanding of the construction of water conservancy and electric power majors and talent cultivation at our school. The delegation highly praised our school's teaching achievements and practical training facilities.
On August 24th, the delegation visited the Changgang campus and held a working promotion meeting for the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy. During the meeting, both schools expressed that with joint efforts, the Modern Craftsmanship Institute had achieved fruitful results in base construction, talent cultivation, and exchanges and visits. They hoped to continue sincere cooperation and implement tasks such as the second phase of construction of the Modern Craftsmanship Institute and the cultivation of international students. After the meeting, both sides signed an international student cooperation agreement for the Modern Craftsmanship Institute.
The convening of this meeting marked the successful completion of the first phase of construction of the Modern Craftsmanship Institute. Moving forward, our school will closely align with the "vocational education going global" strategy, using the second phase of construction of the Modern Craftsmanship Institute as a starting point to promote in-depth and practical cooperation in areas such as professional construction and cultural exchanges. This will facilitate cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Cambodia, enhance mutual understanding among the peoples, make the brand of China-ASEAN Modern Craftsmanship Institutes more renowned, and build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
