From December 10th to 12th, 2023, a delegation led by Deputy President Liu Cunxiang visited the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture, and Huadian Power International (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. The delegation held in-depth and detailed talks with relevant leaders, including Deputy Director Heng Chang of the Vocational Training Department of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, President Thun Fasana of Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture, and Deputy General Manager Gong Xiwen of Huadian Power International (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. These visits effectively promoted the construction of the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy, which was officially established through cooperation between the three parties.
China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy is a high-level education and training cooperation project in the energy industry, established under the guidance of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0. It serves as an integrated base for "teaching-research-training" and is an upgrade and expansion of the "Guangxi Water Craftsmanship Studio". The academy undertakes multiple tasks such as education, research, and training, aiming to cultivate professional and technical talents in the field of green energy and promote high-quality and comprehensive development of the regional energy industry.
During the exchange with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, both sides initially reached a cooperation intention regarding Cambodian student projects, skills training for Cambodian personnel, and teacher exchange and training projects for Cambodian vocational schools. Deputy Director Heng Chang of the Vocational Training Department expressed his willingness to provide effective support and assistance to us in carrying out vocational education and training services in Cambodia and in constructing the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy. Together, they will deeply promote vocational education to serve Cambodia's regional economic development and further strengthen long-term cooperation and coexistence between China and ASEAN countries such as Cambodia.
The successful establishment of the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Green Energy not only marks an important achievement in the field of international cooperation but also reflects its determination to actively respond to national education policies and expand international horizons. Looking forward, we will continue to deepen cooperation with international partners and devote itself to cultivating more high-quality technical and skilled talents, contributing greater value to global sustainable development with the wisdom and strength of the entire college.
