On November 22, the 2023 Hongyan Project International Exchange & Cooperation Training and English Show Competition officially came to a close. Deputy President Liu Cunxiang attended the closing ceremony to deliver a summarizing speech, in which he highly praised the training and competition, encouraging the participating teachers to actively enhance their English proficiency, grasp relevant policies on the opening-up of vocational education, and improve their skills in the education and teaching management of international students, so as to make greater contributions to our international education and teaching development.
The Hangyan Project International Exchange & Cooperation Training and English Show Competition were divided into two phases. The first phase focused on international exchange and cooperation training, with experts from the Education Department, Guangxi University, Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Transportation, and Shenzhen Polytechnic sharing specialized lectures on topics such as the country's policies on the opening-up of vocational education, document interpretation, the enhancement of teachers' internationalization capabilities, the implementation of Sino-foreign cooperative education projects, and guidance on the construction of the China-ASEAN Modern Craftsmanship Institutee. The lectures were packed with valuable information, and the participating teachers gained much from them.
The second phase consisted of English lesson presentation and English major presentation competitions. The participating teachers presented English lessons centered around topics such as the background of professional construction, talent training objectives, curriculum system construction, professional training modes, course orientation and ability objectives, textbook selection and resource construction, teaching content and design, teaching implementation and effectiveness, showcasing their excellent English expression abilities and solid professional teaching qualities.
This training and competition is an important part of the our efforts to enhance its international education level, implement the "Double High Plan" construction, and fulfill the action plan for improving the quality of vocational education. We will continue to adhere to the principle of "internal training and external introduction," constantly broaden and innovate paths for the construction of an internationalized teaching staff, and provide strong support for building a group of high-quality, professional, and internationalized teachers and improving the quality of international talent training.
