On November 15, the Foreign Exchange Center conducted the second round of online admission interviews for international students coming to China in 2023. Li Changni, Director of the Foreign Exchange Center, served as the chief examiner, while the heads of the Publicity Department and the General Education School acted as interviewers for this session.
Six candidates from Cambodia and Congo participated in the interviews sequentially through the ZOOM platform. The interview process was divided into two parts: self-introduction and question-answering. Firstly, the candidates introduced themselves to the examiners. During the professional assessment section, the examiners thoroughly evaluated the candidates' language proficiency and overall qualities by asking questions about their basic professional knowledge, preferred majors, and study plans. During the interview, some candidates were able to communicate in Chinese, and all six students expressed their friendly attitudes towards China and their strong desire to study at the college.
After assessing the candidates through the two sections, the interviewers comprehensively considered their research literacy, basic professional knowledge, and communication skills, providing objective evaluations of their overall qualities. The admission results were determined based on the candidates' overall scores.
The online applicants for this admission round underwent strict scrutiny, laying a solid foundation for further improving the quality of international student education in China. Next, the school will seize the opportunity of "Studying in Guangxi" to polish the "Studying at GCWE" brand, cultivate international professionals who understand, friend, and love China, and enhance our internationalization level.
