On November 3, international students visited the Hydraulic Engineering School and Electric Power Engineering School at the Lijian campus for a study tour. Relevant leaders and teachers from the Foreign Exchange Center, Hydraulic Engineering School, and Electric Power Engineering School provided explanations and introductions.

At the Hydraulic Engineering School, Assistant Dean Zhang Xianming introduced to the international students the six-level model, water analysis, spectroscopy, balance training room, water treatment training room, pump operation and maintenance training room, and soil and water conservation training room. In front of the simulated dam at the Fenghuangshan construction training site, teachers led the international students to observe and interact with the equipment at close range, giving them an intuitive understanding of the structure and working principles of hydraulic dams.

At the Electric Power Engineering School, Deputy Dean Tan Zhenyu explained the college's history and development to the international students, and introduced the innovation and entrepreneurship studio and professor's studio. At the electric power training base, college teachers led the international students to understand the power generation and transmission system of the 110KV substation, and observed student aerial training together. This visit and explanation deepened the international students' understanding of the electric power profession.

After the visit, Lu Ping, an international student from the Congo, said that this visit gave him a deeper understanding of the two professions of hydraulic engineering and electric power, and made him confident in choosing his major in the second year. He hopes to return to his homeland to build his country after completing his studies. Mark, an international student from the Philippines, expressed his gratitude to the school for providing this valuable visit opportunity. He said that he gained a lot of knowledge that could not be learned in the classroom and hopes to have more opportunities to participate in such activities in the future to enhance his understanding of his profession.

This visit was an activity to promote international students' understanding of the school and its professions. Taking this visit as an opportunity, the school will actively improve international students' professional cognition and recruit and cultivate international students in China relying on the two advantageous professions of hydraulic engineering and electric power engineering, as well as the teacher team and teaching platform. The school will actively implement the national "Belt and Road" initiative, vigorously promote the brand building of "Study in Guangxi," and cultivate outstanding talents for the school's opening-up and international cooperation.
