On September 12th, the Education Plus 2024 International Vocational Education Conference and the International Exchange Seminar of the "Belt and Road" Vocational Education Alliance for Water Resources and Electric Power grandly opened at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center. A delegation of four, including Deputy President Zhou Tao , was invited to attend. This conference integrated an international meeting and an industry-education integration exposition, aiming to share practical experiences in international vocational education, connect high-quality resources in vocational education, explore future trends in the industry, and jointly promote the high-quality development of vocational education.
During the seminar, Zhou Tao delivered a keynote speech titled "Education Follows Enterprises, Focusing on ASEAN, and Building the Guangxi Vocational Education Brand for Hydropower 'Going Global'," introducing the construction experience and achievements of our college's China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship Academy of Green Energy. He expressed that the college will take serving the major strategic needs of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the economic and social development needs of the region as its fundamental starting point. Seizing the significant opportunities presented by the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 and the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the college will continue to focus on a series of "small but beautiful" projects, create a brand for "going global" in vocational education for hydropower, and become an enabler for the internationalization and industry-education integration development of water conservancy. The successful experiences of our college have received widespread attention and recognition from Chinese and foreign delegates present.
In addition, the college was honored as the Executive Vice Chairman Unit of the "Belt and Road" Vocational Education Alliance for Water Resources and Electric Power. The typical case of international exchange titled "Focusing on ASEAN, Vocational Education Going Global, and Building the 'Guangxi Water Model' for Serving International Production Capacity Cooperation" was selected as an "Excellent Case of Cooperation Achievements in Vocational Education for Jointly Building the 'Belt and Road'."
The college will continue to promote the construction of projects such as the China-Cambodia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship Academy of Green Energy, explore and form a replicable and promotable "Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power Scheme" for international cooperation in vocational education, and boost the stable and far-reaching development of "vocational education going global."
